A DREAM DELAYED IS NOT A DREAM DENIED

About Us

Hi, I’m Judi, and I own Storied Farm. I didn’t set out to be a farmer—in fact, my early dreams were filled with thoughts of college, world travel, and endless adventures. But life, as it often does, took me down unexpected paths, and I found myself chasing promotions and raises, stressed, distracted, and always looking ahead to the next milestone. Somewhere along the way, I realized I’d lost touch with the things that truly made me happy—and to be honest, I wasn’t even sure what those were anymore.

After some deep soul-searching, I began dreaming of a simpler, more grounded life. A life connected to nature, filled with beauty, and centered around creating something meaningful. My childhood had been spent playing on my grandparents’ homestead—although back then, it was just home. We’d pick strawberries fresh from the plant, climb cherry trees, and sit on the porch for hours shucking peas. That was my first taste of how special a life close to the earth could be, though I didn’t realize it at the time. The memories of those days have stayed with me, and they’ve shaped the vision for Storied Farm.

So, I bought my own little piece of land. It wasn’t a working farm anymore—just an old farmhouse on three acres—but it had the potential for the dream I had in mind. Still, it took me a few years to fully commit. A well-paying corporate career kept me tethered to what was familiar, but the dream never left me. It grew, slowly, until I couldn’t ignore it any longer. During the lockdowns of the Covid era, I realized that life was simply too short to be spent in anything less than pursuit of joy. And so, after 24 years in a job that drained the life out of me, I decided to take the leap. I came home to my dream house—a sturdy, early 20th-century farmhouse—and began writing a new chapter in my life.

At Storied Farm, I aim to share my love of flowers, vintage housewares, and the simple, timeless beauty of the past. I’ve always been drawn to things with a story, whether it's a charming bloom in the garden or a delicate piece of china passed down through generations. Alongside the flowers, I curate a collection of vintage treasures—beautiful, well-loved items that bring a sense of history and warmth into the home. These are pieces that tell stories of their own, evoking the elegance of a Victorian dining room or the coziness of a farmhouse kitchen, and I’m thrilled to share them with you.

Through Storied Farm, I hope to inspire others to slow down, connect with nature, and bring a little more romance into their everyday lives. Whether you’re here for the flowers or the vintage finds, I invite you to join me in embracing the beauty of the past while creating something meaningful for the future.
